choir

Wycliffe Choral Society is a choir of about 100 members and is known as one of the friendliest choirs in the area. Whether you are an experienced singer or a complete beginner of any age, you are assured of a warm welcome. There are no auditions, but on rare occasions the conductor may require a voice test, if necessary.

Our season runs from September to May, and we give at least two concerts, normally in late November and early May, under the direction of our highly experienced conductor, Christopher Swain. These concerts take place in the Chapel of Wycliffe College and are accompanied by a fully professional or semi professional orchestra, with first class soloists. The standard of performance is consistently high.

There are a number of social functions throughout the year, and every second year WCS has toured abroad; our 2017 tour was to Riga capital of Latvia and we would like to resume touring now that Covid restrictions are more relaible.
